OEI is effective for processing and resolving PTSD, psychological trauma, addictions & eating disorders, providing relief from anxiety, panic, anger, grief. and other intense emotions.
It rapidly de-escalates affective and somatic intensity, and improves relationships (couples, families, groups), and performance - artistic, athletic, professional.
EMDR is a psychotherapy technique used to relieve psychological stress. It is an effective treatment for trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), as well as anxiety, panic, depression, eating disorders & addictions. EMDR
utilizes the motion of the eyes with therapeutic guidance to bring about emotional (and sometimes physical) healing, at an accelerated rate.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a unique approach to psychotherapy. ART is unique because the ART Therapist guides the client to replace the negative images in the mind that cause the symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress with positive images of the client’s choosing. And this is done quickly, most often within one session! Once the negative images have been replaced by positive ones, the triggers will be gone. Nightmares and repeated intrusive thoughts will stop.
All of our staff practice from a trauma-informed perspective. This means you can rest assured that your therapist is aware of the significant impact trauma has on the brain and can have in your day-to-day life. Your treatment plan will take that awareness of trauma into account.
Most of our clinicians practice some form of active trauma treatment. This is a specific tool or set of tools to directly address and deactivate trauma reactions in your brain. Some of our clinicians use EMDR, and some use OEI. Both practices are poly-vagal informed and evidence-based methods of decreasing reactivity and both are highly effective.
